A still from Professor David Clough’s Expert Explains video.

As the month draws to a close, the University of Chester has been sharing viewpoints, to help inspire those who may wish to continue (or consider) a more plant-based lifestyle.

In the University’s latest ‘Expert Explains’ video, Professor of Theological Ethics, Professor David Clough, discusses different viewpoints around the ethics of farming animals – especially considering the effects of more intensive farming methods. His video can be found at:

The University has also produced a blog, sharing some suggestions about how to make plant-based food and drink more a part of a normal routine, once the month is over. Tips include considering a meat-free day; to keep trying new recipes; to keep the changes you particularly liked – plus suggestions to try the many cafés and restaurants around Chester, which have a great range of vegan options on their menus.

Adam Bodger, Deputy Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions at the University of Chester, said: “Our Expert Explains videos are proving to be extremely popular – and a great way to showcase the wide variety of academic knowledge and expertise that we have at the University of Chester. Professor Clough is an internationally renowned expert in his field, and Veganuary provided the perfect opportunity to share his thoughts on the ethics of farming animals – and for us to also share a blog with some tips and ideas for those considering more plant-based options.
