Hello! My name is Sam and I am the Vice President of Warrington Campus at Chester Students’ Union (CSU).

First of all, I want to say a MASSIVE congratulations to everyone who has collected their Level 3 results this week. I can’t imagine the pandemic has exactly helped you with your studies either over the last two years, so a huge well done to you all!

I’ll just give you a quick introduction to myself and CSU. Like I said, I am Vice President of Warrington Campus at the CSU, and a former student of the University - so I have lots of experience of student life here. CSU is a non-profitable organisation that is separate to the University, and is responsible for voicing your ideas and issues both inside and outside of the University. We support students, run activities and have a presence at each of our learning sites.

For Welcome Week, we are busy planning many activities for you to enjoy, whether you’re in Chester, Warrington or Shrewsbury! Activities include quizzes, picnics, welcome tours and a lovely welcome fair in Chester city centre. The events don’t stop there, with evening activities taking place at the Varsity Bar in Chester, and Bar Twenty10 in Warrington. The week will be full of excitement and fun for you to feel welcome and part of the University of Chester community.

Throughout the year, there will be activities, campaigns and many more things you will be able to take part in! Keep your eyes peeled on our social media for updates.

Again, massive congratulations on your results and I am looking forward to seeing you all come September!
