Families are invited to take an adventure around the world at an animal themed activity organised by Events Management students at the University of Chester at Hoole Community Centre, Chester, in aid of Chester Deafness Support Network.

The event on Sunday, March 1 aims to raise awareness and funds for the Chester Deafness Support Network, which provides support and services for those with sensory loss. This is a committed charity, driven towards improving the quality of life for service users and is constantly wanting to develop ways in which it can offer support.

Tickets are £5 per child with accompanying adults and under twos free. There will be two sessions of the event, 11am until 1pm and then 2pm until 4pm and early booking is recommended.

Wild Around the World promises a range of fun and educational activities for children along with an animal themed lunchbox to enjoy. Come along and learn all about animals from around the world through various interactive stations such as playdough, hand painting and a messy table. Also available will be Makaton workshops, face painting, raffle and much more.

Cerys, Team Leader of Chester Harmony Events, said: “We are so excited about Wild Around the World and are confident that this will be a fantastic day, with something for everyone. There are so many exciting things happening on the day and we are so pleased to be working with the Deafness Support Network and incorporating Makaton into the event.”

Erica Jones, Fundraiser at the Chester Deafness Support Network, said: “I am really impressed at how hard Harmony Events have been working to organise this fun packed day. We are very grateful to be their chosen charity, and all funds raised will go towards supporting the services we provide here at Deafness Support Network.”

This event is organised by Chester Harmony Events, a group of five University of Chester Events Management students. More information and tickets are available on their website
