- Plan Ahead
Once you’ve booked your Experience Day, you’ll be sent a confirmation email which includes a timetable for the day, along with a printed programme in the post (depending on how far in advance you book). We recommend you have a good look through this so you can plan your activities accordingly. Take a look at our Experience Day blog to help you plan your day.
It’s also worth planning your journey ahead, and taking advantage of advance train tickets where possible. Check whether you could be eligible for our means-tested travel bursary of up to £100 towards travel costs (eligibility criteria apply).
- Pay Attention to Detail
At Chester we have five campuses located across the city, with a stand-alone campus in Warrington. Make sure you check your confirmation email so that you know which campus you need to attend and what transport options are available to you. - Do Your Research
Have a think about what you want to get out of your visit, and do a bit of research about the course and University so you can ask well-informed questions on the day. For example, how might the assessment methods or module choices compare to other courses you have applied for?
- Ask Questions
You’ll get so much more out of your visit if you ask us questions! Our job is to help you make the right decision. There will be teaching, support staff and students on hand throughout the day to answer your questions. The only way you will get to know more about the University and what it’s like to be a student here is to talk to the staff and students. Feel free to ask us questions before the event. - Explore the Area
Build in time to explore the wider area as well as the University – it could be your home for the next three years or more! Why not even make a weekend of it and see what Chester and Warrington have to offer.
