PGCE Secondary Creative Disruption Week

This is the seocnd collobration with the PGCE secondary programme to  explore the realtionship creativity and learning in the secondary classroom.  This year students wotk ed with a number of external partners to consider how learning could be constructed differently. Partners included Mufti Games, Chester Zoo, Race and Equality Centre for Cheshire and  Big Heritage.  A key element of these projects has been on wortking in partnership with academic staff, school partners and external agencies to co create workshops that faciltiate pupils engagement with challenging and hard to reach projects.

Bursaries and Scholarships

There are a number of sources of finance for postgraduate students, including research council grants and studentships, charity bursaries and scholarships.

The University of Chester offers scholarship opportunities to students with musical or sporting abilities who are willing to actively represent the University. Please see our Music Bursary and Sports Scholarships pages for more information.

Santander Masters Scholarships

Masters Scholarships are provided by Grupo Santander to support full-time taught postgraduate study at the University of Chester.  The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit to students from the UK, Spain, Portugal or Latin America, who would not otherwise be able to take up a place at Chester. Snowdon Masters Scholarships

The Snowdon Masters Scholarship is provided by the Global Disability Innovation Hub and Snowdon Trust to accelerate disabled leaders through postgraduate study, the scholarship will fund up to £15,000 for a UK Masters course and a £15,000 stipend while studying.

Applications for 2019 intake close at the end of April 2019.

Other Scholarships and Busaries

Each year FindAMasters.com and FindAPhD.com award £12,000 in scholarships for postgraduate study to their e-newsletter subscribers who are yet to begin Masters or PhD study. Students wishing to start their postgraduate studies at any university listed on Find AMasters.com or FindAPhD.com should register now to receive application information by signing up to their newsletter.

TARGET postgrad run bursary competitions open to students interested in taking a postgraduate course.
