The aim is that the University of Chester and Warrington becomes a sustainable, trauma-informed institution and town
In 2019 we started our collaboration with Nursing colleagues in the Faculty of Health and Social Care to support the new simulation strategy.
The HeARTful learning conference took place at the University’s Warrington Campus in November 2019.
The experimental framework will develop original arts-based educational materials and an established collaboration amongst partners in other higher educational institutions all over Europe.
In 2018 we worked with the memory service team at The Countess of Chester hospital and members of their Post Diagnostic Support Groups (PDSG), which are groups that provide support to people with a recent diagnosis of dementia and their relatives.
We’ve also taken an immersive learning approach by adopting Immersive Theatre practice with our Education Studies colleagues in the Faculty of Education and Children’s Services.
Turtle Song is a creative music-making project that involves song writing, movement and singing for people living with dementia, delivered by Turtle Key Arts.
