Non-Medical Prescribing

Our Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) course is open to suitably qualified professionals, registered with NMC, GPhC and HCPC professional regulators. Students include experienced nurses, midwives and allied health professionals; such as paramedics, pharmacists, podiatrists, physiotherapists and therapeutic/diagnostic radiographers. In order to apply, you will have to submit a fully completed application form through the Health and Education Co-operative website. These applications are reviewed on an individual basis, in line with your registration with the relevant professional regulatory body and evidence of a satisfactory enhanced DBS. You will also undergo a numeracy test during the application process (with a 100% pass mark), so you must be numerate.

If you wish to learn about how you can prepare for NMP courses before you apply, we would recommend you to familiarise yourself with this information, which includes the Health and Education Co-operative’s recommended reading lists.
