A Supportive Environment
As a postgraduate student with us, you will benefit from all the support available from our Student Support and Wellbeing team, as well as specific careers support from our excellent Careers and Employability team.
Chester Students' Union are also here to support you with free, confidential and impartial help when you need it the most, through the Advice Centre.
On top of this, you will also have your own Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) who will provide you with one-to-one academic support throughout your postgraduate studies, as well as the rest of your academic team who take a personal approach to your learning.

Our Career Consultants provide expert, impartial and confidential guidance tailored to your individual needs for up to two years after you graduate. While our central online CareerHub advertises a range of local and national graduate job vacancies.
We also offer a wide range of free training sessions and workshops. Our Venture Programme can provide you with the skills to start up a business or become self-employed. While The Chester Difference Award can set you apart from the competition.
Professional Opportunities
Our Employer Engagement team have established links with local and national employers, as well as professional bodies, that allow you to network with employers at campus events and in the workplace.
Also, in partnership with Santander Universities we run The Chester Internship Programme (CIP) which enables you to undertake a flexible 350 hour paid internship within a small or medium sized employer (SME) throughout the year.
Graduate Loyalty Discount
As an existing undergraduate student, or an Alumnus from the University of Chester or its Associate Colleges, you may be eligible for specially discounted course fees at the University of Chester.
