Sport and Active Lifestyle, a department within Student Futures, have developed the Active Wellbeing Programme which furthers our aim of promoting student wellbeing. 

The programme aims to help students maintain positive health in the following ways:

  • Promote a sense of wellbeing for the body and mind
  • Encourage physical activity and psychological and nutritional awareness as a form of self-help
  • Help raise confidence, self-esteem and energy levels
  • Promote a sense of belonging and participation in the life of the University

Following a referral from the Student Counselling team, students will be referred to the Active Wellbeing Officer who will look at physical activity and lifestyle consultation as tools for benefiting your overall health. The Active Wellbeing Programme lasts for 12 weeks, includes free access to the fitness facilities and classes, and regular follow-up consultations with the Active Wellbeing Officer.
