What you like best about playing sport at the University of Chester:

Joining a sports society is truly a great way to meet people; my advice to any first years is to join a sports society, even if you don’t play sports. At Badminton, we have ‘social players’ who come to training for fun, and they’re part of our society as much as the competitive team members. Wednesday socials are great for expanding your social circle too - Hockey have amazing socials every week. I’ve really enjoyed competing in BUCS matches over my three years at Chester, and I’ve enjoyed being Ladies Captain more-so, seeing my team succeed and feeling I’ve had an influence on people enjoying the sport I love. Being on Committee is also very rewarding so I’d encourage anyone to go for a Committee Role for a sport you’re passionate about.

What memory you will take from playing sport at the University of Chester:

Playing in BUCS matches gives you a massive sense of pride for your university. Team photos, competing, match reports, and eagerly watching the league table creates a feeling like no other. And of course, celebrating with your society after a win!
