You will study under the guidance of our team of active researchers who have international reputations in their field and who will support you throughout the course.

You will undertake taught modules that are delivered over six weekends each year (part time) to fit in with the busy schedules of working professionals. Evening seminars, workshops and conferences are held regularly to supplement the course; some weekend sessions are taught in situ, such as the creative education workshops in the galleries at Tate Liverpool. Full-time students have additional weekday workshops, seminars and tutor sessions.

Riverside Campus, Chester

The Riverside Campus provides specialist teaching facilities for most students in the Chester-based Faculties of Education and Children’s Services, and Health and Social Care

The University took ownership of the former County Hall in Chester in 2010 and transformed it into the Riverside Campus building, which provides exceptionally high quality and state-of-the-art facilities for its two resident faculties. This iconic building in the centre of Chester is just a 20-minute walk from the main Chester Campus.

Riverside Campus houses the Library collections for Education and Children’s Services and Health and Social Care students along with several IT laboratories for 'open access' and teaching use. All of the teaching spaces are equipped with high-grade audiovisual technology and provide an excellent learning experience.

In addition, Riverside Campus provides a 192-seat lecture theatre, containing raked seating and a widescreen capable of showing Blu-ray and HD films.

Dining@Dee, Riverside’s own café and coffee shop, serves hot and cold drinks, snacks and delicious meals. Meanwhile, the Student Space provides social, group work and discussion space for students, with hot and cold drinks vending machines and snack machines available, and students are able to eat their own food here.
