Adding up to a top UK professionally accredited degree, delivered by accounting specialists.
Our specialised degree aims to improve employability by concentrating on the practical application of accounting and finance theory. The content is designed to allow you to gain major exemptions from the examinations of the key professional accounting bodies in the UK (ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA) in order to enhance your employability and potentially reduce the time to full qualification as an accountant.
Studying a course full-time traditionally takes three years to complete, unless your course has the option of a sandwich year placement, in which case you could gain a year’s professional work experience in a company or organisation.
Why Study Accounting and Finance with us?
This is a highly ranked course: 14th out of 110 UK universities for course satisfaction (The Guardian University League Tables 2017). The course is also highly rated by students with overall student satisfaction consistently above 90% and the average for the sector (National Student Survey).
Our course has the maximum exemptions available with CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales), and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), and significant exemptions from CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountancy). Graduates are eligible to become a member of AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) with relevant experience.
Students have the option to sit a CIMA exam at the end of the first year. If successful, students will be issued with a CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (subject to ongoing approval)
