If you are a new full-time undergraduate student from Scotland, you will need to apply for student finance through the Student Awards Agency Scotland. To do this you will need to:
- Register your details online
- Once you have done this, look out for two emails. One will confirm your account password, the second will confirm your account username and the answer you provided for the security question. It is important that you don’t forget these!
- You can then log in and commence your application for funding.
What You Will Need
The amount of bursary and student loan that you receive is based on your household income. This includes your own income excluding any income earned from employment. You will therefore need to provide evidence of this.
For information on the documents you need and when to send them, take a look at the Information we need section on the Student Awards Agency Scotland website.
To prevent any delays take a look at these useful hints and tips before you begin the application.
Please note that you can go back and change the information on your application at any point during the application stage, so don’t worry if you’re not certain which university to choose just yet.
