Course overview

The course prepares graduates for a management career in roles such as quality management, food marketing or new product development.

Together with the additional qualifications that you will achieve through the course, the modules are designed to build your knowledge of the basics of food manufacturing, including food safety and food science, progressing to more applied subjects such as food operations management and food supply chain. This gives you a valuable insight into the sector, preparing you for the workplace.

Why Study Food Manufacturing with Business Management with us?

You will be taught in the multimillion-pound Reaseheath Food Centre, an industry-leading academy with an international reputation in the food and drink sector. Our state-of-the-art facilities include a commercial dairy, butchery, bakery and innovation rooms for new product development and scale-ups.

The Food Centre prides itself on the strength of its partnerships with the food and drink industry, and works closely with businesses on manufacturing and development projects, giving an interface between students and potential employers.

Being the only college in the UK to comply with industry-standard BRC-7 Grade A food safety systems, students are taught the procedures and approaches that are required in today’s food manufacturing dairy training centre.

Reaseheath College

Reaseheath College is one of the leading specialist land-based colleges in the UK, situated in the stunning rural setting of Nantwich, Cheshire. This stunning campus is the perfect environment for degree students to work, rest and play. The College is set among 330 hectares of farm, parklands and woodland with its own lake and sports facilities, and has a fully licensed zoo that houses over 1,000 animals.

Significant investment (£50million) has been devoted to the facilities over the years, including to the animal science and zoo facility, equine science centre, food technology and science centre, and student accommodation. A further £30million of development is planned in Reaseheath’s sports facilities, agricultural and advanced engineering centre, plus new student accommodation and new teaching facilities for degree students.
