Why Study Sport Development and Coaching with us?

Sport development and coaching is about effective engagement with individuals, communities and a variety of organisations, thereby creating opportunities for increased participation, developing athletes, and understanding the effectiveness of sport in society. To facilitate this process, more highly skilled and professionally qualified people are needed to ensure national policies are delivered effectively in a variety of settings, in order to improve coaching and increase participation in sport throughout the UK.

Engagement with external organisations via work experience and coaching modules will provide you with opportunities to develop key transferable skills as well as relating theory to practice.
