What time does the Experience Day start and finish?

The timings of the Experience Day vary depending on your course. You will be advised of timings once you have inputted your details above.

Where does the Experience Day take place?

The location of your Experience Day sessions will depend on which subject(s) you have been offered a place for. You will be advised of the location once you have inputted your details above.

What is the difference between an Experience Day and an Open Day or Interview Day?

You may have already attended an Open Day prior to making your application. Experience Days are designed to help you further with your decision on whether to make the University of Chester your Firm or Insurance choice, and are tailored to help you find out more about your course and view University facilities.  If you haven’t already applied, you are still very welcome to attend an Experience Day.

There don't seem to be any Experience Day dates available for me. What should I do?

If you have applied but not yet received an offer from us, we recommend that you wait until having received an offer before booking your Experience Day, to ensure you see the facilities at the campus location that is relevant to you.

If you have not yet applied, or if you have received an offer but our booking system doesn't bring up any dates for your course(s), please contact us by calling 01244 512800 or emailing visitus@chester.ac.uk, so we can advise you on your best options for visiting us.

Which Experience Day should I be booking onto?

We have different dates depending on what subject(s) you have been offered a place for. By inputting your ten digit UCAS personal ID number, you will be directed to a list of relevant dates from which you can choose when to attend.

I have booked onto an Experience Day but can no longer make that date, although I would like to attend another Experience Day. How do I change the date on my booking?

You will not be able to change the date of your booking, but we can instead cancel your current booking. Then all you need to do is book onto another Experience Day. To cancel your booking simply call us on 01244 512800 or email visitus@chester.ac.uk.

What if I can't attend any of the Experience Days for my chosen subject?

As an alternative to Experience Days we offer campus tours on an ad-hoc basis on weekdays. To find out more and book onto a tour please email visitus@chester.ac.uk or call 01244 512800 and let us know that you can't make the Experience Days and we will get back to you to arrange a campus tour.

However, we do recommend that you visit on an Experience Day, if possible, as you will have the opportunity to not only visit the campus but to find out more about your course, the facilities, student finance, accommodation and student life in general. Experience Days also include an opportunity to speak to our student ambassadors who are available to answer any questions about life at the University of Chester.

Can I get help with my travel costs to the Experience Day?

If you are invited to attend an Experience Day and are either eligible for free school meals / pupil premium or are a ‘Looked After Child’/been in local authority care or are a young carer yourself, then you may be eligible to claim up to £100 towards your, and one guest’s, travel costs through our Travel Bursary.

Please visit our Undergraduate Experience Day Travel Bursary page for full terms and conditions.
