What is the difference between an Applicant Day and an Open Day or Interview Day?
You may have already attended an Open Day at either Warrington Campus or Riverside Campus in Chester, prior to making your application. Applicant Days are post-application events for successful applicants who have received an offer. The events are tailored days designed to help you find out more about your course, view facilities and help you decide whether to make the University of Chester your Firm or Insurance choice.
Which Applicant Day should I be booking onto?
We have different dates for events at our different Health and Social Care teaching sites, depending on which location your offer of a place is based at. By entering your UCAS Personal ID number and date of birth, you will be directed to a list of dates relevant to you, from which you can choose when to attend.
I don't know what my UCAS Personal ID number is / I can't find my UCAS ID number
Your UCAS Personal ID number is the ten digit number you received when you registered with UCAS and is quoted on all UCAS correspondence. If you can't find your UCAS Personal ID number, please contact UCAS on 0371 468 0 468.
There don't seem to be any Applicant Day dates available for me. What should I do?
If you have applied for a Nursing degree but not yet received an offer from us, we won’t yet have confirmed which Nursing site you will be based at. We therefore recommend that you wait until having received an offer before booking your Applicant Day, to ensure you see the facilities and location that is relevant to you.
If you have received an offer but our booking system doesn't bring up any dates for your course(s), please contact us by calling 01244 512800 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. It might be that you have received offers for courses based at different campuses, in which case we will be able to advise you on your best options for visiting us.
What times do Applicant Days at Leighton start and finish?
Registration takes place at 2.45pm and the event will finish at approximately 4.30pm.
How do I cancel my booking?
If you are no longer able to attend, please email email@example.com or call 01244 512800 and let us know that you wish to cancel your booking, along with your name and email address. We will then email you to confirm we have cancelled your booking.
I have booked onto an Applicant Day but can no longer make that date, although I would like to attend another Applicant Day. How do I change the date on my ticket?
You will not be able to change the date of your ticket, but we can instead cancel your current booking (please see the above question). Then all you need to do is book onto another Applicant Day by visiting the Applicant Day webpages at www.chester.ac.uk/applicantdays
What if I can't attend any of the Applicant Days for my chosen subject?
However, we do recommend that you visit on an Applicant Day, if possible, as you will have the opportunity to not only visit the campus but to find out more about your course, the facilities, student finance, accommodation and student life in general. Applicant Days also include an opportunity to speak to our student ambassadors who are available to answer any questions about life at the University of Chester.
When booking my ticket, should I include myself among the number of guests?
No, when we ask for the number of guests we want to know how many people you will be bringing along with you.
How do I change the number of guests on my ticket?
It's not essential that the number of guests on your ticket is precisely the same as the number that comes along on the day; we just ask so that we have an idea of overall attendance. However, if you wish to change the number of guests on your ticket please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can change this for you.
