Medical and Life Sciences
Building on existing strengths, and with a range of courses available, Chester Medical School aspires to become a leading centre for first-class clinical and biomedical research and teaching.
Why Study?
We take an evidence-based approach to subjects, ensuring that all lectures, seminars and practical sessions are topical and backed up by the most recent research. We have close associations with our local hospitals and clinical staff contribute to several modules, keeping course content relevant.
Where You'll Study
The Chester Medical School offers courses at Exton Park (Parkgate Road), at the Wheeler building in Chester, and at University Centre Shrewsbury. Students in Chester benefit from modern teaching facilities alongside social hubs and accommodation. At Shrewsbury we have a brand-new simulation suite for an authentic practice setting.

Research-quality instrumentation and industry standard facilities are available at our sites. At Exton Park (Parkgate Road), we have modern laboratories – including a tissue culture suite, and microbiology, molecular and protein analysis laboratories.
