Teaching Excellence

Originally a teacher training college in 1839, the University of Chester has developed a reputation for the quality of its range of educational courses. We are one of the few institutions nationally to be rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in both Primary and Secondary Teacher Education.

Courses are available at Chester (Wheeler), Warrington or Shrewsbury. The Faculty is located within the city of Chester at Wheeler, home to a specialist library collection, specialist teaching rooms, social areas, a catering outlet, a lecture theatre and several IT laboratories.

Employment

Employability is central to our courses, with each one offering placements in educational environments where you will directly develop the practical skills you need for a career in education. Our careers service can also help develop your employability skills prior to graduation.
