Staff in Chester Medical School take an evidence-based approach to their subject to ensure that lectures, seminars and practical sessions are topical and backed up by recent research. The Department of Clinical Sciences and Nutrition is an international centre that specialises in clinical and public health aspects of exercise and nutrition sciences.
Learning Sites
The Medical School offers courses at both Bache Hall, near Exton Park, Chester, and University Centre Shrewsbury. The Department of Clinical Sciences and Nutrition is based at Exton Park. Research-quality instrumentation, industry-standard facilities, teaching spaces and meeting rooms are available at both Chester and Shrewsbury.
Research Active Staff
Medical School research is led by experienced biomedical and clinical researchers, providing exciting opportunities for study – from basic cellular/molecular science to clinical translational studies. The School’s research is underpinned by many national and international links. Several staff are on international scientific committees and on editorial boards of scientific journals.
