Our Department has a supportive atmosphere, while also being dynamic and innovative.
Learning Site
The Department of Modern Languages is based in the Binks Building at Exton Park (Parkgate Road), Chester. There is an international flavour to the Department, with many students from continental Europe studying here, and you will have regular access to three digital language laboratories with over 70 computer workstations.
Research Active Staff
With a vibrant and growing team of researchers, supervision is provided in a wide variety of subjects with opportunities to pursue your own academic interests through research degrees. Staff speak French, German, Mandarin and Spanish, and topics currently explored include identity formation and global cultures.
