Why Study Advertising with us?

The storytelling strategies and techniques developed by advertising help to influence the way we think about products, politics and ‘The Right Priorities’.

Other advertising courses may define – and therefore teach – the subject either as a form of marketing with some visual design, or as a form of graphic design with some marketing. At the University of Chester, we teach the subject from three integrated perspectives: advertising as a strategic corporate activity; digital design and production techniques; and advertising as social narrative.

This approaches develops your critical understanding of how modern advertising shapes our ideas and values.
