For full-time modes of study, if you are eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan by Student Finance this will cover the cost of your tuition fee, and is paid directly to the course provider. If you live outside England, there can be subtle differences in the way student finance is governed. Further details can be found on student finance websites relevant to your country of residence.

Part-time Study

You may be eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan for part-time study by Student Finance. However, if you live outside England, there can be subtle differences in the way student finance is governed. Further details can be found on student finance websites relevant to your country of residence.

If you are not eligible, you would need to pay for the modules yourself. At the University of Chester this can be paid monthly through direct debit from November until July. There is no deadline in the year for module submissions to be submitted, however our Finance team advise you to choose your module choices early, as if you choose to add a module outside of November - July you would be expected to pay for the module straight away.

If you are interested in studying an undergraduate degree part-time, you will have six years to complete the course. This provides you with two years to complete the modules required for each year of study. The minimum amount you can study in one year is 20 credits per year and the maximum is 100 credits.

If you are interested in studying a Foundation Degree part-time, you will have five years to complete the course. The minimum amount you can study in one year is 20 credits per year and the maximum is 100 credits.
