Where does the Open Day take place?
The location of your Open Day will depend on which subject(s) you are interested in, as we have several different sites across Chester, Warrington, Shrewsbury and Birkenhead. By selecting your subject(s) of interest on the Open Day booking page, you will be directed to the correct information for where you need to register on the day. If you are attending an Open Day in Chester and need to visit more than one of our teaching sites, transport between sites will be available on the day.
Why does the Open Day have multiple start times?
Our Chester Open Days have two different arrival times in order to manage numbers across our sites. There will be ample time for you to attend activities, regardless of which arrival time you choose. If you’re visiting multiple sites, make sure to allow enough travel time between each subject talk.
What’s happening when?
All subject areas will be running talks throughout the day, as well as activities and tours – so whichever arrival time you choose, there will be plenty of time to fit everything in. We will also email you a schedule prior to the Open Day so you can plan your day.
Can I bring guests with me?
Yes, you are welcome to bring guests with you to the Open Day. You don't need to make a separate booking for your guests; simply indicate the number of people you wish to accompany you when you are booking your place.
Is car parking available?
Chester: There is limited car parking at some of our Chester sites: please note that parking is extremely limited at our Exton Park and Wheeler sites and we recommend using public transport where possible. We will be running a free bus service between our Chester sites during the Open Day to help you get around. Our Creative Campus, Kingsway has plenty of parking.
Warrington: There is pay and display parking available near our Time Square and Sarah Parker Remond House sites.
Shrewsbury: There is a large pay and display car park in Frankwell Quay, adjacent to the Guildhall.
Birkenhead: There is limited visitor parking available at Marriss House. Directions will be sent via email ahead of the Open Day.
How do I cancel my booking?
If you’re no longer able to attend, please email visitus@chester.ac.uk and let us know that you wish to cancel your booking, along with the email address you used to book your place. We will then email you to confirm we have cancelled your place.
What if I can’t make an Open Day?
If you can’t make one of our Open Days this year, don’t worry, we also have campus tours taking place throughout the year which provide you with a great opportunity to visit our sites and view the general facilities available to you.
