The University of Chester and Shropshire Council have established University Centre Shrewsbury to increase your Higher Education prospects and offer a personalised and engaging student experience shaped to you. Since welcoming our first cohort in 2015, we have strived to offer students a well-rounded and supportive university experience within the beautiful medieval town of Shrewsbury.
The courses and wider opportunities on offer at University Centre Shrewsbury are designed to support students to excel in their chosen field; being extremely employable, highly innovative, enterprising, and benefitting from practice-based experience, alongside academic rigour as part of every course.
The newly renovated Guildhall building is the main centre for teaching and learning. It provides fresh and open spaces for students in which you will find modern computer suites, lecture and seminar rooms, open-plan laboratories and a spacious library.
Outside of the classroom you can relax in the student common room, lounge, fitness suite, courtyard, and on-site café; and Guildhall is conveniently located just a short walk from the town centre, allowing students to explore the picturesque streets alongside your studies.
There are a range of subject-specific facilities at the Guildhall building to ensure our students have the most engaging learning experience possible, to allow you to put what you’re learning into practice.
