Jeanette Bailie

After gaining her B.Ed. (Hons) from Liverpool Hope University in 1990, she taught children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 for eight years before moving to work with children who had multi-sensory impairment.

Jeanette undertook roles as Curriculum Co-ordinator for Physical Education and Mathematics before moving into teaching students in Further and Higher Education, on the CACHE Level 3 DCE programme and HNC/D in Early Childhood Studies. She was Programme Leader for the Foundation Degree in Early Years Practice for 8 years.

Jeanette gained her Post Graduate Certificate in Child Studies from Liverpool John Moores University in 2005 and MA in Education in 2008. Jeanette joined the University of Chester in January 2011. She gained an MSc in Psychology in 2013 and is currently undertaking her Doctorate Studies. Jeanette is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

In her spare time Jeanette is a keen angler and enjoys regular boxercise classes.
