Dr Luke Jones

Luke finished his first degree in Sports Science at what was then known as Chester College in 1994. After completing his post-graduate teacher training at Cardiff, he worked as a secondary PE teacher and a Head of Department for ten years. He then moved into higher education and taught at Liverpool John Moores University, before returning to Chester in 2007.

In his current role he works with secondary associate teachers in the School of Education and also with PE students in the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences. He is the subject leader for PE and programme leader for the PGCert in Coaching and Mentoring.

Luke is interested in any research that involves teaching, mentoring and learning in sport and PE.
