Gareth Price

I am a graphic designer, programme, lecturer and project manager specialising in multidisciplinary design and exploring interactions between society, design and business in order to use design thinking as a method to create engaging experiences and knowledge transfer. My three main visual outputs are branding, digital products and physical installations.

I have over 25 year experience working with a diverse range of clients, including: BBC, Fat Boy Slim, Channel 4, Liverpool City Council, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays Bank Plc, NHS and Sony, as well as designing and delivering public events for BBC Interactive Big Screen, MerseyTravel’s Spaceport visitor attraction, Liverpool LightNight, Price WaterHouse Cooper and Novartis.

I have been involved in course writing and delivery on a number of different programmes including: Film Studies (BA Hons), TV Production
(BA Hons), iMedia (BA Hons), Business Management (BA Hons), Interactive Entertainment Media (BA Hons), Multimedia Arts (MA) and
Games (MA).

I designed and managed an Innovation Lab called The Automatic for 9 years. While there I was actively involved in facilitating creative thinking with the student cohort, academic staff, business communities and community engagement. Sessions within The Automatic would range in timescale but all were fundamentally grounded within ‘design thinking’ and how to obtain session outcomes to ‘stick’ and be deliverable.
