Cemil Egeli | University of Chester

I joined the Department of Social and Political Science in April 2017.

I am currently a registered member of the BACP and continue to practice counselling using an integrative approach. Prior to undertaking my counselling training, I started my early career working as a TV researcher for the BBC and ITV. After completing my PGCE I worked for many years as a teacher which included working as a head of department, designing and implementing curriculum and working across a range of educational settings and specialist provision. I also have experience of working as a support worker, specialist mentor and lecturer.

I teach across several of the modules on the BA (Combined Hons) in Counselling Skills.

I am currently interested in autoethnographic methodologies and the mixed cultural experience.
