My research interests include social security policy, stigma, poverty, class and gender inequalities and qualitative research.

I was awarded a PhD in Sociology from the University of Liverpool in 2022. My research explored the dynamics of stigma and resistance among women currently or intermittently engaged with the social security system, during a period of unprecedented welfare reform.

I am a member of the Social Justice Research Team at the University. We are currently collaborating with local community partners using co-productive methodology to explore lived experiences of poverty. Updates are available on X/Twitter: @SocJustice_UoC.
