Dr Ian Pritchard

Joined the Department in April 2010 and has been Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Sciences course since August 2010.

Prior to commencing a career in higher education, Ian served for 14 years in the British Army as a combat engineer and physical training instructor. As an academic, he has previously been employed as a Senior Lecturer in the Sociology of Sport and Exercise, and an Undergraduate Programme Leader, at both the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, and the University of the West of Scotland in Hamilton.

Ian teaches on the following undergraduate and postgraduate modules:

Ian also supervises dissertation students at undergraduate and Masters level specialising in the Sociology of Sport.
