I am a senior lecturer on the MA Art Therapy programme at Wheeler. I am also a registered art therapist, specialising in working with clients who have experienced developmental trauma.

In 2007 I completed an apprenticeship in the outdoor education sector, where I noticed that groups would express and process feelings about their experiences through art-making. I subsequently obtained a fine art degree and continued to work with arts and health in a range of settings – from supporting young people to realise creative projects to working as an arts coordinator in an NHS adult mental health trust. My work experience led me to embark on the MA Art Therapy programme at the University of Chester.

I teach on the MA Art Therapy programme, where I lead the Placement Experience module. I am also the placement coordinator.

My teaching role includes lectures, experiential workshops, and group supervision of students in placement.
