Luke is a Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) having completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Chester and member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA). Luke currently lectures on the undergraduate and postgraduate Nutrition and Dietetic programmes.

Following qualification Luke has worked in the acute clinical and community environments in different specialities. Luke has also worked as the Lead Dietitian for the procurement of food and beverages for NHS Trusts within England and Northern Ireland at NHS Supply Chain. This involved developing the new Hospital Food Standards with NHS England, Hospital Caterers Association, NHS Trust partnerships and food industry stakeholders.

Luke has a special interest in sarcopenia, aging and neurological diseases. As Policy Officer for the BDA Neurosciences Group, Luke reviews emerging evidence to inform new guidelines and publications such as for National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.
