Jo Edgerley
Deputy Head, Practice Education and Simulated Learning
I have been at Lecturer in Practice Learning (LPL) at University of Chester since April 2020. I qualified as a therapeutic radiographer in 1996 and worked for five years in London before returning to the North West. I continued to work as therapeutic radiographer at a large oncology centre for fifteen years, my last clinical role was education radiographer. I then moved to Higher Education and was a lecturer on a Radiotherapy programme. The LPL role allows me to combine working with clinical partners and nursing students to improve the practice placement experience.

My area for research is student support in placement. My research dissertation is to consider support strategies for widening participation students in practice placement.
