I qualified as a Nurse at the University of Chester. I have continued to study at Chester and gained a specialist degree in Dermatology and Tissue viability. I went on to study at Masters level and achieved my MSc in Public Health Nutrition and I am an Associate Nutritionist.

I have experience working in acute care trusts, community, community clinics and I was a specialist nurse in tissue viability and skin care.

I commenced teaching at the University in Jan 2017 and fell in love with educating others. I achieved my PGcert in Professional Education and NMC stage 4 teacher status in 2018.

I have gained the prestigious award title of Queen's nurse, this is for dedication to community nursing.

I am a Higher Education Fellow and I am committed to innovative creative teaching for our future generation of nurses.

I have experience in safeguarding, complex management and teaching. I have experience working in Continuing Health Care, Dementia care, specialist GP link nurse and completed work for Age UK Cheshire as well as volunteer work with community groups across Cheshire.

I teach across the whole of the pre-registration programme, which includes the new nursing curriculum.

I input nutrition and wound care alongside skills and public health to name a few.

I have taught post registration tissue viability and dermatology modules. I am currently inputting into the foundation nursing phase and the BA health and social care course.

I teach and mark across level 4- level 7 and I am a Masters dissertation supervisor.

I have a keen interest in public health, nutrition, wounds and nursing.

I am also keen to review nutrition in the older elderly population and I am currently choosing a topic for my PHD linking nursing and nutrition.

Currently editing my dissertation study on childhood obesity and the impact of packed lunch boxes. This was a qualitative study and reviewed the views of parents.
