I work as the Clinical Skills Demonstrator within the Acute Adult Care Department, supporting the Faculty of Health and Social Care. I am based at Riverside Campus/Wheeler Building.

I am involved with lots of different projects within the University. One of the projects is called ‘Your First of Everything’ which is an interactive tool that highlights the importance of relating to one another’s experiences throughout nursing.

I joined the faculty in 2022 having previously been employed by NHS as a Staff Nurse. I worked on the Acute Medical Unit.

I completed my nursing degree at the University of Chester and was awarded a First Class.

Furthermore, I was also awarded the Tom Mason award whilst at the University of Chester which is an honor to have received.

I also won a Student Nursing Times award for Outstanding Contributions to Student Affairs as a part of the projects I was working on as a student and being co-chair of the student empowerment group. I had the opportunity to train the Chief Nursing Officer, Ruth May, CPR and attended the Chief Nurse Summit in March 2020.

I hope to bring my experience from all these achievements to my demonstrator role within the University.
