Andrew Firr

Andy is a Lecturer in Management and alumnus of University of Chester. He specialises in entrepreneurship and innovation. His teaching is focused on providing students with experiential learning experiences. His goal is to deliver academic and pastoral support to students in a way which is authentic and meaningful.

Andy has spent over a decade working with Universities all over the UK to develop entrepreneurship based modules within a variety of academic disciplines including undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is an experienced project manager and educator working for one of the UK’s leading enterprise education charities Young Enterprise.

Andy has also represented Young Enterprise UK internationally and has sat on Junior Achievement European Start-Up Programme panels at enterprise education conferences in Liege, Helsinki, Riga, Oslo and most recently Tallinn.

Andy also has a wealth of experience working to bring business and education together and has a strong network of industry partners from differing sectors. He strongly believes in the value of education and industry working together closely.

He is also an Academic Member (MIOEE) of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs.
