Luisa

Luisa is a level 7 lecturer in the Department of Management with a strong interest in Education, entrepreneurship, and wellbeing in a business context. Her passion for learning led her to pursue a PhD at the university of Chester to start in October 2022.

Luisa started to work at University of Chester in September 2021 as a visiting lecturer, supporting several modules across departments of Management and Marketing & Tourism, becoming a full-time lecturer in January 2022.

Previously Luisa worked as a Dental Technician for 17 years and had the opportunity to work in various roles: Laboratory dental technician, Clinical dental technician, Dental Laboratory manager, CAD/CAM specialist for Nobel Biocare, where she was responsible for training other professionals and providing a strong networking to benefit the organisations involved into working with mutual goals.

Did some volunteer work around Criminal Justice system, during her Criminology and Criminal Justice completion, within Probation service, Domestic Abuse Victim support, workshops on prevention and awareness on abusive and exploitation behaviours and/or activities

When moved to UK, from Portugal, whilst working as a dental technician, Luisa decided to go back on education, and completed a Criminology and Criminal Justice undergraduate degree, a Teaching qualification, and an MBA in 2021, with a final grade of Distinction.
