Private Sector
We appreciate that many students will be arriving in the UK with their spouse and/or children. Please be aware that students in this situation will not be able to apply for University-owned accommodation if they intend on living with their dependents.
Students are expected to live within a 10-mile radius of their campus of study. Living outside of this radius could have serious visa implications if you are not attending all in- person lectures without a valid reason.
There are lots of private sector options in Chester and the surrounding areas. We typically suggest that students visit the below websites:
• Zoopla
You can use filters on these websites to find options suitable for you.
Please be aware that private landlords may require international students to pay the full annual fee in advance, or secure a UK guarantor. This can be done privately via companies such as Housing Hand.
